How Does the BC eBike Rebate Program Work?

This program, funded by the BC government, is designed to make electric bikes more accessible by offering income-based rebates. The goal? Encourage greener transportation while helping BC residents save.

Rebate Amounts (Based on Income Level):

• $1,400 rebate for individuals earning less than $38,950
• $1,000 rebate for incomes between $38,950 and $51,130
• $350 rebate for incomes above $51,130

You’ll need your most recent Notice of Assessment from the CRA to prove eligibility.

Step-by-Step: How to Get Your Rebate

2. Get Invited
   If funds are available, you'll receive an email invitation to apply.
3. Shop at a Participating Retailer (Like Us!)
   To qualify, your eBike must cost at least $2,000 before tax. Shop from Reckless Shipyards’ collection of premium electric bikes from brands like Royal Dutch Gazelle, Velec, Urban Arrow, and more.
4. Submit Your Application
   After purchase, you’ll have 30 days to submit your claim with proof of purchase and identification.
