Overview

The Riese & Müller Nevo5 Vario is more than just an eBike—it’s the embodiment of effortless motion, precision engineering, and timeless design. Crafted for riders who value sophistication and ease in equal measure, the Nevo5 Vario transforms every journey into a fluid, intuitive experience.

Its signature low step-through frame offers unmatched accessibility and stability. At the same time, the combination of the Bosch Performance Line CX motor, Enviolo Heavy Duty hub, and Gates CDX Carbon Belt Drive ensures a ride that’s whisper-quiet, maintenance-free, and exhilaratingly smooth.

Perfect for city commuting, weekend adventures, and everything in between, the Nevo5 Vario represents the pinnacle of Riese & Müller’s commitment to power, comfort, and innovation.

Power & Performance

Bosch Performance Line CX (BDU384Y)

At the heart of the Nevo5 Vario lies Bosch’s most advanced motor—the Performance Line CX. Delivering up to 85 Nm of torque, it provides instant, powerful acceleration while maintaining a natural, intuitive pedalling feel. Whether climbing steep inclines or gliding through city streets, this motor adjusts seamlessly to your effort, ensuring a perfect balance of strength and efficiency.

The intelligent Smart System integration enhances responsiveness and adaptability, optimizing performance based on your pedalling input and terrain for a truly dynamic riding experience.

Bosch PowerTube 600

The elegantly integrated Bosch PowerTube 600 Wh battery delivers outstanding range and endurance to the Nevo5 Vario. Hidden within the frame for a clean look and balanced handling, it delivers long-lasting power for daily commutes or extended weekend rides.

For even greater range, dual-battery compatibility offers up to 1,200 Wh of capacity—so your journey can be as long as your ambition.

Smooth Shifting & Silence

Enviolo Heavy Duty Continuously Variable Hub

Say goodbye to gear steps and hello to seamless motion. The Enviolo Heavy Duty CVT hub replaces traditional gear systems with a continuously variable transmission that adapts perfectly to your speed and cadence. With a simple twist, you glide from low to high ratios effortlessly—no clicks, no jumps, no interruptions.

Designed for high-torque eBikes, this robust system ensures durability, low maintenance, and a silky-smooth ride that feels like pure freedom.

Gates CDX Carbon Belt Drive

Paired with the Enviolo hub is the Gates CDX Carbon Belt Drive, a hallmark of quiet reliability. Resistant to weather, corrosion, and wear, it replaces messy chains with a clean, maintenance-free system that can last over 10,000 km without adjustment.

Together, the Enviolo and Gates combination creates a drivetrain that’s virtually silent and engineered for life.

Comfort & Control

SR Suntour SF24 Mobie34 Boost Suspension Fork

Comfort is key, and the SR Suntour SF24 Mobie34 Boost fork ensures every ride feels smooth and controlled. With its 34 mm stanchions and up to 80 mm of travel, it absorbs shocks from rough terrain, potholes, and cobblestones effortlessly—keeping you stable and confident on any surface.

Magura MT5/MT4 (MT-C ABS) Hydraulic Brakes

Precision stopping power meets intelligent safety with Magura’s MT5/MT4 hydraulic disc brakes, enhanced with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System). ABS prevents wheel lockups during sudden stops, helping you maintain steering control and stability even on slippery roads.

Whether descending steep hills or maneuvering through traffic, these brakes deliver consistent, controlled deceleration you can trust.

Lighting & Visibility

Supernova Mini 3 Pro

Lighting your way in every condition, the Supernova Mini 3 Pro headlight offers powerful illumination with an elegant, minimalist design. Its focused beam ensures maximum visibility without glare, while the integrated rear light enhances safety from behind. Day or night, you’ll always be seen and protected.

Smart Connectivity

Bosch LED Remote & Kiox 500 Display

Take full command of your ride with the Bosch LED Remote and Kiox 500 display. The intuitive LED Remote lets you toggle assist levels and lighting on the fly, while the large, full-colour Kiox 500 screen displays speed, range, power output, and navigation.

Integrated Bluetooth and the Bosch eBike Flow App connect your Nevo5 Vario to your smartphone—allowing you to track rides, update firmware, plan routes, and fine-tune motor behaviour.

Design & Craftsmanship

ASI-Certified Aluminum Frame

The ASI-certified aluminum frame of the Nevo5 Vario offers the ideal blend of rigidity, lightness, and accessibility. Its step-through geometry ensures easy mounting, while integrated cabling and a sleek silhouette reflect Riese & Müller’s reputation for precision craftsmanship.

From its clean welds to its perfectly balanced weight distribution, every detail showcases German engineering at its finest.

Manufacturer Warranty

Warranty and guarantee

It is possible that a fault may occur with your Riese & Müller bike even though we prioritise quality and durability when selecting our components. In this case, we are often asked whether the fault is covered by the warranty or guarantee. These two terms are often used as synonyms, but have different meanings.

When does the warranty apply?

The warranty, also known as liability for defects, always applies if a defect existed or was expected to exist before the bike was handed over to you (e.g. material defect, assembly fault). The precise legal regulations governing a warranty are set out in the German Civil Code (BGB). The warranty starts at the moment you pick up your bike.

  • It lasts two years for new bikes individually built for you.
  • It also lasts two years for immediately available new bikes and ‘as new’ bikes from the online shop or our factory sales outlet (ridden less than 10 km).
  • The warranty is one year for used or demonstration bikes from our online shop or our factory sales outlet (ridden more than 10 km).

The buyer (you) must direct any claims under warranty to the seller of the bike. The seller is usually your Riese & Müller dealer. A warranty claim will also be handled by the dealer partner that you selected as the Service Hub when you purchased the bike, even with bikes bought in the online shop or from our factory sales outlet.

Your dealer will examine the complaint on site, assess it and then, if necessary, approach us to make a claim against us.

Warranty claims cannot be handled directly between you, the customer, and Riese & Müller, the manufacturer of the bike.

Your dealer will not usually contact Riese & Müller about defects relating to other manufacturers’ components, such as Bosch, Rohloff, Enviolo or Suntour, but will contact the component manufacturer directly. This approach is always applied in the interests of our customers, as direct communication between the companies concerned usually significantly shortens the processing time.

Of course, as the bike manufacturer, we are always available to support our dealers and component manufacturers as required.

Wear that is not due to a defect is not covered by the warranty.

Please check the exact warranty conditions applicable in your country.

When does the guarantee apply?

Regardless of the legally prescribed liability for defects, Riese & Müller grants a five-year guarantee for breakage of the frame or rear swing arm. Furthermore, we grant you a voluntary warranty on the battery of two years: we guarantee that the battery will have a capacity of 60 percent after two years or 500 full charge cycles (whichever occurs first). This guarantee applies if the following conditions are met:

  • You are the first owner of the bike.
  • You have registered your bike online within four weeks.
  • The bike logbook in the appendix of the general owner’s manual has been completed in full and all the inspections listed there have been carried out and entered.

All guarantee services and conditions are set out here in detail.
