Riese & Müller Nevo5 Rohloff
Premium Step-Through eBike with Electronic Rohloff & Bosch CX Power
Product Overview
The Riese & Müller Nevo5 Rohloff is the high-end, long-range, low-maintenance step-through eBike that serious riders have been waiting for. Built for commuters, tourers, and riders who demand absolute reliability, this Nevo5 variant combines the Bosch Performance Line CX motor with the legendary Rohloff Speedhub E-14 and a Gates CDX belt drive—creating one of the smoothest, cleanest, and most durable eBike drivetrains available.

- and the fit, comfort, and accessibility of Riese & Müller’s signature step-through frame.
Built to handle daily riding, mixed terrain, and all-weather conditions, the Nevo5 Rohloff is ideal for urban professionals, long-distance riders, and anyone who wants an eBike that “just works” with minimal maintenance.

Bosch Performance Line CX (BDU384Y)
The Nevo5 Rohloff is powered by Bosch’s flagship Performance Line CX motor. With up to 85 Nm of torque, it gives powerful, confident acceleration even on steep grades or when fully loaded with panniers. The motor reacts quickly to your pedalling, delivering a natural ride feel, not a jerky one.
- Powerful off-the-line starts
- Excellent hill-climbing
- Intelligent eMTB-style support for varying terrain
- Designed for demanding, daily use
Bosch PowerTube 800
This model is equipped with the Bosch PowerTube 800 Wh battery—one of the largest integrated batteries currently offered in a step-through touring platform. It’s cleanly integrated into the frame for balance and aesthetics and provides excellent range for commuters and tour riders.
- 800 Wh = more range, fewer charges
- Clean, integrated look
- Removable for charging off the bike
- Perfect for riders doing longer commutes or weekend rides
Drivetrain: Rohloff E-14 + Gates CDX = Ultimate Low-Maintenance Setup
Rohloff Speedhub E-14
The headline feature: Rohloff E-14. This is a 14-speed, electronically shifted, internally geared hub specifically designed to work with eBikes. It gives you:
- 14 evenly spaced gears
- 526% overall gear range
- Electronic shifting via handlebar control
- Multiple downshifts at a stop
- Exceptional longevity and reliability
Rohloff hubs are famous for running tens of thousands of kilometres with minimal maintenance. Combined with Bosch, this makes the Nevo5 Rohloff one of the most durable premium commuter/touring eBikes available.
Gates CDX Carbon Belt Drive
Instead of a chain, this model uses the Gates CDX carbon belt. Benefits:
- No oil, no rust, no dirty pants
- Quiet operation
- Extremely long lifespan
- Perfect pairing with an internal hub like Rohloff
For riders who don’t want to constantly clean and lube a chain—this is the answer.
Suspension, Tires & Handling
Fox AWL 34 Boost Suspension Fork
Unlike basic city forks, the Fox AWL 34 Boost on the Nevo5 Rohloff is built for eBike use—stiffer, stronger, and more controlled.
- Better steering precision
- Better control on uneven surfaces
- Boost spacing for stronger wheel builds
- Ideal for riders carrying cargo or riding at higher eBike speeds
Schwalbe Super Moto X 62-584
The wide Super Moto X tires offer comfort, grip, and puncture resistance. Great for city, bike paths, and light touring.
- 62 mm width for comfort
- High volume = natural suspension
- Excellent on wet pavement
Braking & Safety
Magura MT5 / MT4 (MT-C ABS)
Stopping power is handled by Magura MT5 (front) and MT4 (rear) hydraulic disc brakes, and this build includes MT-C ABS. That means:
- Strong, controlled braking
- Reduced the chance of front wheel lock-up
- Increased safety on wet or slippery roads
- Better control for newer riders or riders coming from non-eBike platforms
For a powerful Bosch CX bike with a Rohloff hub and 800 Wh battery, ABS is a welcome safety upgrade.
Lighting & Visibility
Supernova M99 mini Pro 25
This is one of the best eBike lights on the market. The Supernova M99 mini Pro 25 provides:
- Automotive-style beam pattern
- Bright, even spread for night riding
- Daytime running visibility
- Perfect for all-season commuting
Rear lighting is integrated, so you’re visible from all angles.
Cockpit & Connectivity
Bosch Purion 200 & Kiox 500
This model comes with Bosch Purion 200 (compact, integrated control) and Kiox 500 (larger, colour display). Together, they give you:
- Real-time ride data (speed, range, battery, assist level)
- Better screen visibility
- Access to Bosch Smart System features
- Potential for navigation and ride logging via the Bosch ecosystem
This setup gives you the flexibility of a clean bar (Purion) and a full info display (Kiox 500).
Frame, Security & Practicality
ASI-Certified Aluminum Frame
The Nevo5 platform is known for its step-through, easy-access frame that doesn’t compromise on stiffness. It’s comfortable for riders of different heights and ideal for stop-and-go urban riding.
- Low step-through = easy mounting
- Clean cable routing
- Designed for load-carrying and daily use
Chain Lock as Standard
Security comes built-in with a chain lock keyed to the bike, so you don’t have to juggle multiple keys. It’s a practical detail that urban riders appreciate.

Manufacturer Warranty
Warranty and guarantee
It is possible that a fault may occur with your Riese & Müller bike even though we prioritise quality and durability when selecting our components. In this case, we are often asked whether the fault is covered by the warranty or guarantee. These two terms are often used as synonyms, but have different meanings.
When does the warranty apply?
The warranty, also known as liability for defects, always applies if a defect existed or was expected to exist before the bike was handed over to you (e.g. material defect, assembly fault). The precise legal regulations governing a warranty are set out in the German Civil Code (BGB). The warranty starts at the moment you pick up your bike.
- It lasts two years for new bikes individually built for you.
- It also lasts two years for immediately available new bikes and ‘as new’ bikes from the online shop or our factory sales outlet (ridden less than 10 km).
- The warranty is one year for used or demonstration bikes from our online shop or our factory sales outlet (ridden more than 10 km).
The buyer (you) must direct any claims under warranty to the seller of the bike. The seller is usually your Riese & Müller dealer. A warranty claim will also be handled by the dealer partner that you selected as the Service Hub when you purchased the bike, even with bikes bought in the online shop or from our factory sales outlet.
Your dealer will examine the complaint on site, assess it and then, if necessary, approach us to make a claim against us.
Warranty claims cannot be handled directly between you, the customer, and Riese & Müller, the manufacturer of the bike.
Your dealer will not usually contact Riese & Müller about defects relating to other manufacturers’ components, such as Bosch, Rohloff, Enviolo or Suntour, but will contact the component manufacturer directly. This approach is always applied in the interests of our customers, as direct communication between the companies concerned usually significantly shortens the processing time.
Of course, as the bike manufacturer, we are always available to support our dealers and component manufacturers as required.
Wear that is not due to a defect is not covered by the warranty.
Please check the exact warranty conditions applicable in your country.
When does the guarantee apply?
Regardless of the legally prescribed liability for defects, Riese & Müller grants a five-year guarantee for breakage of the frame or rear swing arm. Furthermore, we grant you a voluntary warranty on the battery of two years: we guarantee that the battery will have a capacity of 60 percent after two years or 500 full charge cycles (whichever occurs first). This guarantee applies if the following conditions are met:
- You are the first owner of the bike.
- You have registered your bike online within four weeks.
- The bike logbook in the appendix of the general owner’s manual has been completed in full and all the inspections listed there have been carried out and entered.
All guarantee services and conditions are set out here in detail.
