Riese & Müller: SuperDelite5 - Rohloff (2026)
Riese & Müller Superdelite5 Rohloff
Product Overview
The Riese & Müller Superdelite5 Rohloff is the ultimate expression of what a premium, long-range, full-suspension eBike can be. Built for riders who want to go farther than a single-battery eBike will take them — and do it with zero compromise — this model pairs dual Bosch batteries (PowerTube 800 + CompactTube 400 = 1,200 Wh total) with the bulletproof Rohloff Speedhub E-14 and a Gates CDX carbon belt drive.
This is the adventure bike for people who don’t want to think about range, drivetrain wear, or terrain. With Fox front and rear suspension, Bosch’s latest Performance Line CX Smart System (BDU384Y), TRP HD-EU835 brakes, and RX connectivity, the Superdelite5 Rohloff delivers all-day comfort, all-terrain capability, and truly world-class touring capability.
For Reckless Shipyards, this is the flagship Riese & Müller to present to riders who say: “I want the best one.”

Unlimited Power & Range
What separates the Superdelite5 from the Delite5 is right here: two Bosch batteries on board from factory. With a Bosch PowerTube 800 in the frame and an additional Bosch CompactTube 400, you get a massive 1,200 Wh of energy on tap. That means serious touring, multi-day riding, heavy cargo, off-road detours — without the range anxiety.
Driving it all is the Bosch Performance Line CX (BDU384Y) — Bosch’s high-torque Smart System motor with up to 100 Nm of support. It delivers smooth, intuitive assistance on climbs, technical terrain, and urban riding alike.
Control, customization, and navigation are handled through the Bosch Purion 200 and Kiox 500 cockpit, both called out in your spec sheet. Paired with the Bosch Flow App, riders can tune assist modes, update firmware over the air, and connect their eBike experience across devices.
This system is powerful, future-ready, and designed for people who actually ride long distances — not just talk about it.
Rohloff E-14 + Gates CDX: The Ultimate Drivetrain
For a bike designed to travel very far, very often, Riese & Müller chose the most reliable drivetrain available: the Rohloff Speedhub E-14.
- 14 electronically shifted gears
- Ultra-fast shifts (about 180 ms)
- Can downshift automatically to your start gear at a stop
- Designed to handle high Bosch torque for years
When you pair the Rohloff hub with the Gates CDX carbon belt, you get a drivetrain that is:
- Silent
- Grease-free
- Immune to weather
- Incredibly low-maintenance
No chain stretch, no oily pants, no derailleur alignment. For Canadian four-season riders or anyone doing real touring, this combo is as good as it gets.
Full-Suspension Comfort & Control
Big range only matters if the bike is comfortable enough to actually use it. The Superdelite5 Rohloff comes with a premium suspension package:
- Fox AWL 34 Boost suspension fork
- Fox Float Rhythm 165x45 Trunnion rear shock
Together, they form Riese & Müller’s signature Control Technology: the bike stays stable, wheels stay in contact with the ground, and rider fatigue stays low — even on bad roads, forestry service routes, or long descents.
That suspension is paired with Schwalbe Super Moto-X 62-584 tires — wide, grippy, and forgiving — giving the Superdelite5 Rohloff a planted, confident feel on mixed surfaces.
At from 37 kg, this is a fully equipped, dual-battery, full-suspension touring machine — and the chassis is designed to handle that weight safely and predictably.
Braking, Lighting & Safety
Power needs control, and the spec you provided confirms TRP HD-EU835 hydraulic disc brakes — eBike-specific stoppers built for heavier, faster touring bikes. These can be ordered with Bosch eBike ABS 2.0 to minimize wheel lockup and improve braking stability in the rain or on loose terrain.
Lighting is also top tier: Supernova M99 mini Pro 25 up front, with a matching integrated rear light — bright enough for real night riding and powered directly from the Bosch system, so you never worry about charging lights separately.
Connectivity & Theft Protection
As with the Delite5, the Superdelite5 Rohloff comes with the RX Chip as standard. That means GPS-based functionality, digital services, and extra peace of mind — especially useful on a high-value, long-range touring eBike. Pair that with Flow App + Kiox 500, and you’ve got a truly connected premium bike.
Who It’s For
The Riese & Müller Superdelite5 Rohloff is the bike for riders who want it all:
- Longest possible range from a factory Riese & Müller
- Full-suspension comfort for real-world, mixed-surface riding
- The most durable, low-maintenance drivetrain available (Rohloff + Gates)
- Bosch’s latest Smart System with dual displays
- A bike that’s ready for expedition-style rides, heavy commuting, or year-round use
If the Delite5 is “premium touring,” the Superdelite5 Rohloff is “go-anywhere, anytime, no-excuses touring.”

Manufacturer Warranty
Warranty and guarantee
It is possible that a fault may occur with your Riese & Müller bike even though we prioritise quality and durability when selecting our components. In this case, we are often asked whether the fault is covered by the warranty or guarantee. These two terms are often used as synonyms, but have different meanings.
When does the warranty apply?
The warranty, also known as liability for defects, always applies if a defect existed or was expected to exist before the bike was handed over to you (e.g. material defect, assembly fault). The precise legal regulations governing a warranty are set out in the German Civil Code (BGB). The warranty starts at the moment you pick up your bike.
- It lasts two years for new bikes individually built for you.
- It also lasts two years for immediately available new bikes and ‘as new’ bikes from the online shop or our factory sales outlet (ridden less than 10 km).
- The warranty is one year for used or demonstration bikes from our online shop or our factory sales outlet (ridden more than 10 km).
The buyer (you) must direct any claims under warranty to the seller of the bike. The seller is usually your Riese & Müller dealer. A warranty claim will also be handled by the dealer partner that you selected as the Service Hub when you purchased the bike, even with bikes bought in the online shop or from our factory sales outlet.
Your dealer will examine the complaint on site, assess it and then, if necessary, approach us to make a claim against us.
Warranty claims cannot be handled directly between you, the customer, and Riese & Müller, the manufacturer of the bike.
Your dealer will not usually contact Riese & Müller about defects relating to other manufacturers’ components, such as Bosch, Rohloff, Enviolo or Suntour, but will contact the component manufacturer directly. This approach is always applied in the interests of our customers, as direct communication between the companies concerned usually significantly shortens the processing time.
Of course, as the bike manufacturer, we are always available to support our dealers and component manufacturers as required.
Wear that is not due to a defect is not covered by the warranty.
Please check the exact warranty conditions applicable in your country.
When does the guarantee apply?
Regardless of the legally prescribed liability for defects, Riese & Müller grants a five-year guarantee for breakage of the frame or rear swing arm. Furthermore, we grant you a voluntary warranty on the battery of two years: we guarantee that the battery will have a capacity of 60 percent after two years or 500 full charge cycles (whichever occurs first). This guarantee applies if the following conditions are met:
- You are the first owner of the bike.
- You have registered your bike online within four weeks.
- The bike logbook in the appendix of the general owner’s manual has been completed in full and all the inspections listed there have been carried out and entered.
All guarantee services and conditions are set out here in detail.
