The Velec R48 was designed for long, comfortable rides. A powerful 48Volt, 500Watt rear wheel motor will tackle headwinds and steep slopes, giving you the assistance you need to explore longer journeys. 

Available with 2 battery choices, 10Ah and 14Ah, you can get a range up to over 120km in pedal assistance mode with an additional battery on the rear carrier rack. The integrated main battery onto the frame well balances the weight for agile riding, and more stability.

12 Months Warranty on Velec's Non-Electrical Components

Mechanical components include but are not limited to: wheels, fork, headset, handlebars, saddle, drivetrain (derailleur, chain, cassette, crankset) and accessories. The warranty applies to manufacturing defects and not to the so-called normal wear and tear of these components (a puncture for example.)

 

24 Months Warranty on Velec's Propulsion System

Propulsion system, also referred to as the electrical components include the motor, battery(ies), controller, wiring, motor cut-outs, console, and charger. The warranty is 24 months from the date of purchase and applies to batteries of the year.

The useful life of a Lithium battery with normal use is 3 to 5 years. If the battery has not been used for a long period of time (more than 6 months), the battery may lose its capacity or no longer work. Be sure to charge your battery on a regular basis and ride your e-bike.

 

36 Months Warranty on Velec's Frame

Velec guarantees the frame (excluding mechanical and electrical components), for a period of 36 months from the date of purchase from an authorized Velec retailer, against any defect in materials or workmanship.

 

Warranty Claims proceedings

For all warranty procedures, whether concerning the mechanical, electrical or frame components, please go to the dealer where you purchased your Velec, with your electric bike and all its accessories (including the charger.) Labor charges may apply if you make a warranty return to a Velec dealer other than the one where you purchased your bike.

The VAA is a no-cost anti-theft protection program that comes with every new Velec eBike purchased from an authorized dealer like Reckless Shipyards. It provides up to $1,000 in replacement value if your Velec bike is stolen and not recovered—even if your home insurance doesn’t cover it.
