My husband Jim is thrilled with the new Stromer bike he recently purchased from Tony and the Reckless Shipyards bike staff. Tony went above and beyond to help guide him to find the best bike for his needs as well as with the purchase and even with loading it on his bike rack. The customer service from all the staff is amazing and at a level Jim had never experienced before despite this being his 4th e-bike purchase. Tony, Lucas and team are fantastic to deal with. If I could give 6 stars I would. These people understand how customers like to be treated and they deliver. Good variety on hand but we found nothing compared with their Marin offerings for us, and Lucas gave a guided test ride (we didn’t know the area that well). When we came back after two weeks of checking all the options, we were both remembered and greeted by name. Sorry, no photo at the store but here’s the bike after its first downhill day. They are awesome.

I first visited this bike shop while doing the Vancouver Triple Crown, when I lost a cleat bolt mid-ride. Yuri, the mechanic, quickly helped fix my shoe, letting me complete the ride. That experience left a great impression, so I returned to check out their Stromer bikes, which I wanted to get for some time. Tony was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions, letting me test ride different sizes until I found the perfect fit. He set up the bike precisely for my measurements and assisted with invoicing accessories so I could claim reimbursement from my employer. Yuri also helped install my Peak Design phone mount perfectly. Overall, the shop offers an amazing, no-pressure experience. They don’t upsell but focus on what you need. Highly recommend!

Reckless Shipyards, is the best place you can come across to buy a bike! Tony is really nice and makes sure to give you best advice and help to choose a bike that meets your needs. Tony, Bracco and Lucas make you feel like a friend first and never pressure you into anything. I am a wheelchair user from the UK and a few weeks ago I found myself in the area on holiday. One of my front wheels was sticking and needed some lube. I went into Reckless to ask for some and the staff there were so friendly and helpful. Not only did they give me some lube, a technician applied it and cleaned the wheel to make sure it was running smoothly again. They didn’t even charge! What a lovely place!

Sasha, who worked on my bike, was fantastic—fast and efficient. They offered a fair price for the service, and the entire team was attentive, making sure I was well taken care of. Arguably the most competent and friendliest E-Bike store in Vancouver. They want you to be happy and find a bike which fits your use pattern. Post-Sales service was great, my bike had a problem and it was promptly and competently addressed. Highly recommended if you want to be in good hands

I looked around at a few shops for an e-bike and decided to buy from Reckless. Not only did they have the bike I liked best (Marin Sausalito E2 - great bike), the service was by far the best! Tony provided me a wealth of information, got me on several e-bikes to try them out and in the end, offered a great deal when I was undecided between two bikes. They've encouraged me to return for fit adjustments (handlebars and stem) at no charge after letting me try out the stock set up for a couple weeks. They're a very welcoming shop and definitely recommend checking them out!

This place is top notch. Tony was outstanding, thoroughly knowledgeable about his products and genuinely interested in making sure I had the right bike for my needs. No high pressure sales, just a fantastic customer experience. Tony spent 3 hours with me going over all the details on what would be suitable. We took the top two bikes out and he took videos to analyze how I rode. Along the route we met former customers who shouted out to him and he remembered all their names. Throughout my time at the store, past customers would drop to say hi and try out bikes. In the end I bought a Marin Sausalito E2. Absolutely love this bike. Lightweight, nimble, fun to ride, and easy to transport and store like a regular bike The next day when I went to pick up my assembled bike, Tony spent another hour fine tuning the bike to my measurements, trimming the handlebar width, adjusting seat angles, etc and watching me ride the bike to make sure it fits. Tony + Co.! Last Sunday, while riding with friends, I got a flat tire. Not being too far from your shop we stopped-in to drop-off my bike expecting it would not be a quick-fix. True that we might have hit you during a small break in activity in the shop but before I realized it you had already mounted my bike on a lift and were in the process of taking the tire and the tube off so you can assess the situation and repair it! ON THE SPOT! This is another proof of our smarts for buying our bikes from Reckless in the first place. You made it possible for me to keep riding with my friends and finish our 63 km ride – my longest yet! YOU ROCK!

Tony has been helping us out with ski and snowboard rentals for a few years now. This year, my son needed a new bike and once again, Tony delivered. My son absolutely loves his bike. My family bought 2 Gazelles recently. We love the service. Reckless customer since 2000 for commuter bikes and kid bikes. As a longtime experienced cyclists, these bikes are built to last. Having a reputable bike shop to service a quality brand = yrs of enjoyment.

Amazing service from both Bosco and Tony. They brought in the correct frame size for the bike I was interested in within a couple of hours of my coming into the store. I felt very supported during the test drive and purchase process and didn't feel any pressure to buy. Looking forward to having them support my new bike moving forward. :)

Tony was great to deal with. Picked up a Marin Alpine Trail E2 e-bike in the fall of 2023. Despite the extra weight of an e-bike, it handles great in the trails and being able to get in extra rides makes for a fun day!
